A SOUTHAMPTON man has been disqualified from the road after twice being caught drug driving.
Bawan Kakabra, 21, was stopped in Winchester and also on the M3 over a two-month period.
Magistrates in Basingstoke heard that he was caught driving a 61-reg VW Golf on St Cross Road, St Cross, Winchester, on December 20 last year and had a cannabis reading of 4.5 micrograms when the legal limit is two.
On February 27 whilst in the same car he was stopped by officer on the M3 between junction 5 and 6 near Basingstoke. His cannabis level was seven micrograms.
Kakabra, of Mayfield Road, Swaythling, admitted both offences and was fined £384 with a £77 victim surcharge, £85 costs and banned for 14 months.
The ban dates back to when he pleaded guilty July 29.
