A WINCHESTER man went on a one-day shoplifting spree in the city centre but all the items were recovered, a court heard.
Thomas McPherson, 35, of Durngate, pleaded guilty to five charges of theft committed on September 25.
He stole two bottles of wine, worth £10.20 from Sainsbury's on Middle Brook Street; various items from Holland & Barrett on the High Street, valued at £26.99; six CDs worth £60.95 from HMV in the Brooks Centre; facial scrub valued at £11.98 from Boots on the High Street and assorted items worth £72.96 from TK Maxx in the Brooks.
Magistrates in Basingstoke made no order for compensation as the haul was recovered. They ordered McPherson to one day in custody. As he had been held overnight he was released that day, according to the court record.
There was order for costs because of a lack of means.
