During his Saints career, Phil Warner played at White Hart Lane, Upton Park and Highbury as a teenager.

Now he is hoping to add Anfield to that list by helping Havant & Waterlooville knock out League One leaders Swansea in tonight's FA Cup third-round replay at Westleigh Park.

After making six Premiership appearances for Saints, Southampton-born Warner signed for Cambridge United, Eastleigh and Aldershot before arriving at Havant & Waterlooville 18 months ago.

Now a 29-year-old delivery driver/property developer living in Bassett, the former Redbridge Community School pupil is targeting another appearance at a Premiership stadium.

Warner said: "I was fortunate to play against some of the big boys, including Manchester United, when I was at Southampton and always remember making my full debut against Leeds at Elland Road.

"It was a valuable experience and playing at Anfield would certainly make a nice change from Hayes and Yeading away!

"But we've got a big job to do first."
