THREE planning applications were rejected by Winchester City Council planning officers this week with a further two being withdrawn.

Mr and Mrs Phillips, of 44 St Cross Road, St Cross, had their application rejected for a divide to their property to create a new detached residence with a basement, ground and first floors.

Two applications were rejected for Mr Ayling’s proposed rear conservatory at The Soke, 12 Chesil Street, with an additional application needed for a listed building.

In Alresford, Ben Watson withdrew his application for a car parking area in the front garden with a timber fence at 29 Windsor Road.

Another application was withdrawn in Oliver’s Battery by N Steel and K Jowett for a detached cycle store and car charge at 85 Oliver’s Battery Road.

All other applications were permitted including the construction of a flood alleviation channel and flood alleviation bund submitted by the North Whiteley Consortium for North Whiteley Urban Extension, Botley Road.

In Colden Common, Mr and Mrs Rowlandson, of Copse Cottage, 36 Lower Moors Road, can have a two-storey and single storey rear extension.

Mr and Mrs Power, in Crawley, had their alterations plan at Greystones, Littleton Road permitted.

At Whitebeams, Enmill Lane, in Pitt, Mr and Mrs Palmer can infill under an existing balcony to form garden room with a Lawful Development Certificate permit.

Darren Jupe can demolish his garage and redevelop the area as a four-bed dwelling at Patchings, Legion Lane in Kings Worthy.

On the same road, at Homelea, Andrew and Marianne Hewson can construct new accommodation at first floor level after demolishing their existing loft coversion as well as changing roof material and installing new windows, doors and timber cladding.

In Harestock, Mr and Mrs Raper, of 2 Southwick Close, can have a loft conversion and single storey extension.

Kim Gottlieb can replace the single glazed windows with new timber double glazed windows at 42-43 Baileys End in East Stratton.

Andrew Ranson’s application for a two-storey side extension, single storey rear extension and off street parking for two cars at 11 Down Gate, Alresford, has been permitted.

In Shedfield, Mr and Mr Jenkins and Massonne can have replacement single storey rear extensions and alterations at Pond Cottage, St Annes Lane.

At Fiddlers Green, Hundred Acres Road in Wickham, Mr and Mrs Bradley can raise their roof to provide first floor accommodation.

In Winchester, Charles Thompson can carry out the work and alteration at Cheyney Court, The Close.

Anthony Gordon-James was given a Lawful Development Certificate for the works approved on appeal to the application 17/02070/HOU at 15 Peninsula Square.

At 10 Lansdowne Avenue, Mr and Mrs Woo can demolish their existing garage and construct a new garage/carport with accommodation above as well as single storey side and rear extensions. This is a amended plan.

Martin Johnston’s plan for a rear extension, small rear garden office and the addition of one roof-light to the front and dormer window to the rear of 3 Monks Road can proceed.

Ms Allen’s planning application for a single storey extension at Deneview, Stratton Road has been permitted.

In Wonston, Mr and Mrs Holt can have a new greenhouse at Box Cottage, Hunton Lane.
