A WINCHESTER man who stole a safe from Winchester Cathedral is set to be sentenced next month.
John Gillingham, 27, of Hyde Gate, Hyde, admitted burglary on August 8 at the cathedral. The safe contained £2,500.
He was committed for sentence at Winchester Crown Court on November 12 and released on unconditional bail.
