SIR: It was with great sadness I heard of the death of Robert Tee from North Baddesley, known to everyone who knew him as "Bob" he always had a lovely smile whenever you met him.
I first met him when he attended the North Baddesley Junior school sports day wearing his gold medal to open their sports day.
Bob was a double Paralympian gold medalist, for throwing the discuss. His first triumph was n 1976 where he won his first gold medal in Toronto, Canada and he won his second in 1984 at the summer Paralympics held at Stoke Manderville hospital representing Great Britain. I would like to think his passing will be recognised in some way.
His funeral will be held at the St Johns the Baptist Church at 2pm on Thursday the 28th, October and I hope many will attend to say farewell to this remarkable man.
