A 45-YEAR-old Winchester salon has been voted as the winner of the Hampshire Chronicle and Romsey Advertiser’s Hairdresser of the Year.
Guy Kremer Salon, in Stonemasons Court, Parchment Street, was voted by readers and clients as the best of the best.
Speaking after receiving the award, Guy said: “I have been in Winchester for 45 years, to still be at the top after all these years and to be recognised by the clients on that account is amazing, wonderful. It is a good feeling.
“With the support of my fabulous team we have created a very special salon. We have clients that travel from a long way away, I have a client who comes down from Scotland every two months and others from Cornwall and London – we have created a wide reputation.”
When asked what makes the salon standout, Guy said: “We have an international staff and therefore we bring a little bit of different parts of the world.”
The salon is also involved in shoots for magazines which allows them to “keep up on the latest fashion”, along with teaching for L’Oréal in London.
The salon employs 15 people including colour technicians and apprentices.
