POLICE have issued a warning after reports of several thefts from vehicles across the Winchester district within 24 hours.

Winchester Cops wrote on Twitter reminding people to remove items out of vehicles when parking up.

The Chronicle contacted Hampshire police and were provided with a list of where the incidents took place and what was stolen on each occasion.

The incidents are as follows:

  • Officers received a call at 3am on October 11 to reports of a theft from motor vehicle at the Avington Park car park. Entry was forced to the vehicle and two bags were stolen.
  • Police received a report at 5.45am on October 11 of a theft from motor vehicle on East Lane, Ovington. A bag was stolen.
  • At 11.56am on October 11 police were called to reports of a car having been broken into on Kingsmead, Wickham. A coat and a bag were stolen.
  • Police received a report at 12.35pm on October 11 of a theft from motor vehicle on Milland Road in Winchester. A coat was stolen.
  • Report of a theft from motor vehicle received at 2.39pm on October 11 on Fleming Place in Colden Common. Nuts were taken from a wheel.
