A MAN caught drink driving has been banned from the roads for three years.

James Aron Petrie was caught drink driving in a Vauxhall Corsa on Bullington Lane at Sutton Scotney near Winchester on August 23 last year.

The 25-year-old was found to have 72 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the legal limit of 35 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.

Appearing at Southampton Magistrates Court, Petrie pleaded not guilty but was found guilty of drink driving,

Petrie, from Surrey, was disqualified from driving for three years and fined £800.

He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £80 and court costs of £600.
