A care home provider, which has a home in Winchester, has won a national award for the sixth consecutive year.

Hartford Care, which runs Tegfield House in Winchester, won the Top Care Home 2021 Award from carehome.co.uk.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Hartford Care has achieved this award for being one of the most recommended companies in the ‘Top 20 Mid-Size Care Home Groups’.

The award is calculated through reviews submitted to carehome.co.uk about Hartford Care’s 16 care homes by residents, their relatives, and friends, including those of Tegfield House in Chilbolton Avenue, achieving an overall score.

Carehome.co.uk has so far received more than 211,000 reviews and based on these, the carehome.co.uk Top 20 Care Home Awards highlight the most recommended care homes in each region of the UK.

Sean Gavin, Hartford Care’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “This is another incredible achievement for the entire Hartford Care family, especially during these past 18 months, which have been so challenging for us all.

“The carehome.co.uk reviews tell us that our residents and their loved ones have really appreciated everything our dedicated teams have done to keep everybody safe during this pandemic.

“We are extremely proud of and grateful to our Tegfield House team for all their tireless work towards helping us win this fantastic award for the sixth consecutive year.

“Thank you so much to our wonderful home managers, carers and staff who continue to deliver the highest quality of care to all our residents.”
