Peter Daniel Miller was discovered at his home in Ashburton Road, Alresford, on September 22.

An inquest was opened into his death by area coroner Jason Pegg at Winchester Coroner’s Court.

A preliminary cause of death was given as septicaemia, bronchopneumonia, cellulitis, osteomyelitis, deep sacral pressure sore and diabetes mellitus.

Mr Pegg adjourned the hearing for a full inquest to take place on May 23, next year.
