HAMPSHIRE’S Deputy Lord Lieutenant recently visited a Winchester primary school to thank staff for ensuring the pupils had the best support and results throughout the pandemic.

Deputy Lieutenant, Brigadier David Innes visited Winnall Primary School on September 13.

He came to the school on behalf of HM Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire and the Queen to thank the staff for all they had done to ensure the best possible outcomes for their pupils during Covid.

The Deputy Lieutenant spoke at a whole school assembly when he explained his role and the purpose of his visit.

The school said that it was a wonderful celebration and very much appreciated by the staff.

Brigadier Innes was the first visitor to the school this term.
