A planning application for a travellers caravan site has been refused by Winchester City Council.

The proposal was to use land at The Paddock, Durley Street as a travellers caravan site consisting of 13 caravans, submitted by Mssrs Saunders, Keet and Castle.

In the planning officer's assessment, it said that Durley Parish Council objected to the proposals for reasons such as insufficient parking, light pollution and antisocial behaviour from occupiers.
