A TOOL manufacturer has donated equipment to help support a nearby charity learning centre.

Chandler's Ford based, Draper Tools has donated a number of tools and equipment to support Youth Options Outdoor Learning Centre.

Based on Bishopstoke Road, Eastleigh, the centre is a new outdoor space which delivers a variety of programmes to engage young people with nature as a tool to develop their social and emotional capabilities, engage with learning and make positive decisions.

Work began on the centre in October 2020 and it is now ready to offer its variety of programmes to support disadvantages children, young people and their families.

Carly Redwood, fundraising and communications manager at Youth Options said: “We are incredibly grateful to have the support of Draper Tools.

"We are really excited to be opening our new centre, and the equipment they so generously donated will enable us to provide so many activities to those who need our support now more than ever. We are really excited to work together more in the future.”

Fran Weeks, PR Consultant at Draper Tools added: “As a Hampshire-based, family business, the local community is very important to us. Seeing our tools put to good use to support Youth Options is a fantastic feeling, we are so proud to support this incredibly worthwhile cause."

Draper Tools donated the tools as part of their #SowMuchMore campaign, a project designed to raise awareness of the joys of gardening among young people and dismiss stereotypes of gardening as a hobby for retired people.
