A DRUG dealer who had more than £6,000 worth of illegal drugs seized from his home has been jailed for more than four years.
Mitchell Grant, 42, now of Warminster Road, Westbury, had pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs, and acquiring/using/possessing criminal property.
Last week (September 17) he appeared at Salisbury Crown Court and was jailed for a total of 56 months.
Police stopped Grant in his white Audi in December 2019 while he was driving on Highbury Park, Warminster, as they had suspicions about the vehicle being involved in the local supply of drugs.
They also searched his home address in Woodcock Road, and seized a total of £7,985 in cash, as well as a quantity of cocaine and cannabis with a combined street value of £6,310.
Inspector Al Lumley, from the Warminster Area Community Policing Team, said: “We know people living in this area want to see their local policing teams take a proactive approach to tackling the supply and sale of illegal drugs.
“I hope this case provides reassurance that our officers are taking the issue seriously, and that we are working hard to ensure drug dealers are apprehended and face justice.”
