POLICE caught a pensioner drink driving in Winchester.
Shirley Stoneman, 71, committed the offence whilst driving a 15-reg Nissan Note on Easton Lane and the car park at Tesco Extra in Winnall on July 13, a court heard.
Stoneman, of Marlborough Avenue, Kidlington, near Oxford, pleaded guilty. Her alcohol reading was 100 milligrams in 100 millilitres of blood when the legal limit is 80.
Magistrates in Basingstoke banned her from driving for 12 months and ordered she pay costs of £85 with a £34 victim surcharge and a fine of £146. The ban will be cut by three months if she passes an approved course.
