WINCHESTER City Council has received a fresh planning application for two new shops on the High Street.
According to the planning details, the new units, on the former Next site, could see a new cafe or restaurant as well as a gym in place of the boarded up units.
The application by Adam Stone on behalf Nuveen Real Estate Management is initially for a new shop front at 9-11 High Street.
The names of the potential tenants is not known, with the landlord getting interest from companies in hospitality and indoor sports.
