GENTIAN Developments has purchased yet another prominent retail unit in Winchester city centre.
The city-based developer now owns 126 High Street, a 6,500 sq ft building which was previously home to Laura Ashley.
It is currently entirely occupied by the popular outdoor clothing and equipment brand, Mountain Warehouse, which has leased the premises until 2031.
The property was purchased for £2.35m as part of the company's ongoing investment into the city's retail offering.
Gentian’s portfolio includes 46 High Street, currently leased to Seasalt and 7-8 High Street which is currently leased to Closs & Hamblin and Rick Stein Seafood Restaurant.
Director Nick Hanson, said: “We are continuing our investment into Winchester and its future.
"As a local developer and investor, we want to ensure that these historic buildings in our portfolio remain attractive focal points on our High Street."
