UPDATE: Police say missing Emily was found late yesterday evening in Portsmouth.
A SEARCH has been launched for a missing teenage girl from Winchester.
Police are trying to find a 17-year-old girl called Emily.
She was last seen before midnight on Sunday at her home in Littleton, near Winchester.
Police and her family are now growing increasingly concerned for her welfare.
A search and rescue team set up base in the village hall yesterday and villagers heard the police helicopter over the village.
Emily is described as being white, around 175cm tall with a very thin build, with long blonde hair worn in plaits.
She is possibly wearing jogging bottoms and a hoody.
A police spokesperson said: "If you see Emily, or think you may have seen her since last night, please phone 101 with reference 366 of today’s date (17 August)."
