MORE than 100 people will attempt an ultra marathon next week.

The Isaac’s Tea Trail , organised by Greener Miles Running, will take participants through 37 miles of the dramatic Allendale countryside.

They will also endure a 5,000ft ascent.

Greener Miles Running is, as the name suggests, a company dedicated to providing challenge without damaging the environment.

In this event, runners are asked to consider a small donation, on top of entry, to be used to maintain the historic train which is named after a tea seller who used this route.

So far, 100 people have signed up for the even on August 7, but there are still some spaces available.

Entry is £59 for affiliated members and £61 for others. The payment covers a branded mug, copy of the Isaac Tea Trail guide, a packet of wildflower seeds, branded teapots for category winners, and, more.
