A LAST call has gone out to food and drink producers to join the first Maryport Taste of the Sea Festival.
Organisers said handful of spaces are still available for food and drink producers at the newest Taste Cumbria festival which will take place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 August.
All day Saturday and Sunday, there will be a producers’ market at the top of Senhouse Street, while down on the harbour, there will be a hot food court, beer tent, cookery demonstrations and a picnic field next to the Shiver Me Timbers play area.
The Wave, there will be adedicated to a children’s fairground with additional entertainment courtesy of Taste Cumbria favourites Rainbow Jelly Productions.
Throughout the town, pubs and eateries will be getting involved too.
The Taste of the Sea is part of a regeneration programme for Maryport and is exected, in a smaller way, to replace the hugely successful blues festival which ran in the town for many years.
