A MAN was stopped riding an e-scooter while almost three times the drink driving limit.
Andrejs Dmitrijevs was caught riding an e-scooter on Shirley Road.
The 32-year-old of Wadham Gardens, Southampton, gave a reading of 104mgs of alcohol in 100mls of breath. The legal limit is 35mgs.
Appearing before Southampton Magistrates' Court, he was charged with drink driving using an e-scooter without insurance and otherwise in accordance with a licence. He pleaded guilty to the offences which happened on May 30 this year.
Dmitrijevs was given a one-year community order and 80 hours of unpaid work.
He was disqualified for 24 months and must pay £85 costs and a £95 victim surcharge.
