A MAN has been charged following an assault in Romsey which left the victim seriously injured.
Jared Colin McCants, 24, of Rumbridge Gardens in Totton, has been charged with grievous bodily harm with intent.
Police were called to an address on Bell Street at 4.15am on July 24 to reports of a 21-year-old man being seriously assaulted.
The victim was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
McCants was also charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm in relation to an assault as part of the same incident.
He was remanded in custody and appeared before Southampton Magistrates Court this morning (Monday).
