THE picturesque setting of Shawford Park house is set to be at the centre of a hit TV show.

Today a team can be seen setting up their base in Shawford Road – ready to use the 17th century building.

It is believed that the filming is for the series Billions, starring Damian Lewis, Maggie Siff and Paul Giamatti.

In a letter to local residents, production company FPS One said: "All the filming will take place within the house, however, to service the location, we will be construction a unit base for our facility vehicles in the field opposite the entrance gates.

"We will be laying portable roadway panels in Shawford Dene field from 7.30 on Thursday 8th and Friday 9th July and then construction a large marquee in the field on Thursday 9th July.

"The actual filming will then take place between the hours of 6am and 8pm from Tuesday 13th to Sunday 18th July. During this time there will be a number of large vehicle movement from 6am to 8am each morning and then again from 6.30pm to 7.30pm as crew leave."

Residents have also been urged to avoid parking along the south side of Finch's Lane in the vicinity of The Elms.

Billions is an American television drama series created by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, and Andrew Ross Sorkin.

It premiered on January 18, 2016, and has produced five complete seasons to date.

The series is often set in large financial centres, most notably New York and Connecticut. The series tells the story of hedge fund manager Bobby Axelrod as he accumulates wealth and power in the world of high finance.
