A CYCLIST has died in hospital after a collision near Sparsholt.
The cyclist, a 59-year-old man from Eastleigh, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital after the collision at around 2.37pm on Tuesday June 8.
It happened on Woodman Lane, at the crossroads with Sarum Road near to Crab wood and involved a Mini Cooper.
A police spokeswoman today told the Chronicle the man had died. His identity has not yet been released.
He died in Southampton General Hospital last Wednesday, said a spokesman.
The coroner has been told and an inquest is due to open soon.
The road was closed for some time in both directions while officers carried out an investigation into the incident.
Police are appealing for any information or dashcam footage from people who would have been in the area at the time of the crash.
