A BREAKDOWN showing the location of every coronavirus-related death by each postcode area in Winchester has been released.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) has been recording deaths in England and Wales where COVID-19 was the underlying (main) cause on the death certificate.

An interactive map published by the ONS now allows you to see the number of Covid deaths registered in the period March 2020 to April 2021, in a particular postcode area.

The map shows the number of deaths in each Middle Layer Super Output Areas- a small area with a population of around 8,000 people on average.

To give you the latest picture of how the virus has affected your area, the Chronicle has analysed and published the wards of every Covid-19 related death in our region.

Enter your postcode and interact with the map to see the number of deaths in an area or scroll down to see the full list.

The size of the circle represents the number of deaths. Points on the map are placed at the centre of the local area they represent and do not show the actual location of deaths.
