A WINCHESTER man has received a suspended prison sentence for having a bladed article in public, for the second time in nine months.

Jamez Robert John Mariner, 45, of Staple Gardens, was found with a pair of scissors on May 16, a court heard. He had admitted the same offence on September 25 last year.

He was jailed for 22 weeks suspended for 18 months and must undergo an 18-month community order with alcoholism treatment as well as do up to 20 days' rehabilitation activity requirement and pay a £128 victim surcharge.
