TICKETS to Boomtown's mini event in August are going on sale soon.

Boom Village was first announced two weeks ago and organisers have received applications from thousands of "supportive local residents".

The first batch of tickets will be released tonight at 7pm for those who live nearest to the festival site.

All who have applied living in the SO21 - SO24 postcodes will have the chance to get the discounted Tier 1 and 2 tickets before they go on ‘general’ release to the wider Hampshire and South Downs applicants from tomorrow morning at 7am.

Lak Mitchell, Boomtown Co-founder and Creative Director says: “We are so excited to bring the magical Boom Village to life in the beautiful fields of Matterley Estate, and for the first time since 2019 to be able to host a festival of any size in the place we’ve called home for 10 years.

"We can’t wait to put on a festival that holds families and sustainability at the absolute core of what we’re trying to achieve for those in the neighbouring communities.”

According to the festival's website, attendees can expect an "almighty return of creativity".

It says: "Watch the old Village Square come alive with incredible festival bands and discover hidden forest parties playing electronic sounds from disco to dub and all in between. Discover bars serving an array of local beers, food traders offering delicious vegetarian and vegan delicacies. Meet the countless characters bringing the Village pathways to life, and find your inner character at the Sunday carnival."

All sales will be through the Boom Village website.
