IT WAS a tough year for Winchester coach driver and church warden Brian Sadler.
But after being placed on furlough, he has won £10,000 in cash – all from purchasing a new car.
Eden Motor Group crowned Mr Sadler, 70, as VIP Winner of its competition, in which he was entered after buying a Vauxhall Grandland X from Eden Vauxhall Fareham.
James Kurd, operations director, said: “Myself and the team were extremely excited to giveaway this prize, especially in what has been a challenging year. On behalf of everyone at Eden, we would like to thank all of the customers who purchased a car during the VIP Weekend. We wish Mr Sadler many happy years of motoring in his new Grandland X which is a fantastic car.
“Keeping busy Mr Sadler is a local church warden and is leading a project currently to refurbish a 60-year-old church. It is safe to say that Mr Sadler is an extremely worthy winner and has already unselfishly stated he will be assisting his granddaughter with a deposit so that she can buy a house.”
The motor group regularly gives back to its communities and valued customers through promotions like this one and charity events such as the Macmillan Coffee Morning, which has seen them donate over £30,000.
