A BISHOP’S Waltham woman has admitted a string of thefts across Hampshire including the Winchester district.
Eileen Hughes, of Blanchard Road, appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates Court today where she admitted to four thefts.
On December 8, 2020, the 49-year-old stole a plant from outside an address in Knowle Avenue, Knowle, just five days later she took a pair of shoes from a driveway in Gosport Road, Lee-on-the-Solent.
She then stole vehicle batteries on January 12 from Portchester Road in Fareham and on January 24 stole copper piping from a garden on Cottes Way, Fareham.
Hughes previously appeared at the same court on March 25 where she also pleaded guilty to two thefts that took place on October 28, 2020. She had stolen metal and tools from Wallisdean Avenue in Fareham, and stole metal from a yard in Winchester Road, Shedfield.
She was released on bail and will appear at Portsmouth Crown Court on June 18 to be sentenced.
