Uncertainty surrounds Winchester election count after fire alarm incident
IT IS currently unclear when the Winchester election count will begin.
Last night volunteers were counting at River Park Leisure Centre for the Hampshire County Council elections, but this was disrupted by a fire alarm.
The county count was therefore postponed to this morning. The district count had been scheduled for 10am.
The Chronicle has a reporter on standby, but the city council is unable to provide a rough time as to when the count will start.
