A PERSON has died after being struck by a train at Winchster railway station.
Emergency services were called to the incident at just after 8pm.
A person was pronounced dead at the scene.
No further details about the identity of the victim have been revealed by the British Transport Police (BTP).
The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
A spokesperson for BTP said: "Just after 8pm we received a call that a person had been struck by a train at Winchester railway station as a result of that emergency services attended and a person was unfortunately pronounced deceased at the station."
The spokesperson added that the death is "not being treated as suspicious".
They continued: "A file will be prepared for the coroner in due course."
