A BRAND NEW dating show starts next week on prime time TV, hosted by Southampton actor, writer, comic and TV presenter Verona Rose.

The ITV2 show, Secret Crush, will see lovestruck singletons share hidden passion with their unknowing crush. 

Whether they’ve been secretly dreaming of dating their best friend, colleague or gym buddy, it’s time for the lovelorn to publicly admit the desires they’ve been keeping bottled up.

But will their affections be reciprocated? Is love going to blossom? Or should their secret crush have actually stayed secret?

Admirers from all walks of life have secretly invited their crush to join them on the show, agreeing to be filmed as they declare their true feelings.

The other person was told before filming that someone in their life secretly likes them, but didn’t find out who it was until the moment they walked into the date.

Verona will be helping the nation’s lovesick lay it all on the line. She welcomes the singletons to her secret speakeasy, acting as a confidante to both parties and as an onlooker to the dates.

Honest revelations, shocked faces, tears of relief, and potential new relationships could all be in store.

Verona has previously been seen on Sky1's Dating no Filter, 8 out of 10 Cats, Celebrity Come Dine with Me and Fully Blown, A Southampton based show she co created and wrote .

She has also just finished working on an exciting Netflix series as well as her childhood favourite Horrible Histories.

A total of 20 episodes of Secret Crush will be shown, starting on Monday at 6pm. It continues weeknights on ITV2 and ITV Hub.
