STRONG winds of nearly 50mph are set to batter Romsey and Hampshire today as a weather warning has been put in place for Bank Holiday Monday.
The Met Office has released a yellow weather warning from midday today [May 3] until 9am tomorrow morning.
Winds of up to 48mph and spells of heavy rain mean punters will have to brave the elements if they want to enjoy a pint in a beer garden.
Forecasters have warned that "disruptive" strong winds are expected, adding damage to "outdoor temporary structures" is possible and some tree branches could fall down.
The strong winds will by accompanied by some heavy rain at times and should gradually ease through Tuesday morning, the Met Office said.
