FOUR men will be sentenced today for their part in the killing of a drugs supplier in a rural layby.
Gurinderjit Rai, 41, was shot in the head and neck by sawn-off Beretta 12-bore shotgun in Shepherds Farm Lane, Corhampton, on July 12, 2019. He was found the following day by two horseriders.
Aston Hannis, 30, Charlie Statham, 30, were found guilty of Mr Rai’s murder following an eight-week trial at Winchester Crown Court. Paul White, 27, and Corin Barlow, 41, were convicted of manslaughter.
Today the men will appear at the same court where they will be jailed for their roles in the “planned assassination”.
The Chronicle will be running a live blog on the sentencing hearing throughout the day.
