DETECTIVES investigating a suspected attempted murder have released two men with no further action.

Police arrested three men after reports of a serious assault in Devenish Road, Weeke, on February 20.

Officers found a 29-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. He was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries, they were not considered to be life-threatening.

Hampshire police have now confirmed that a 30-year-old man from Winchester, originally arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, and a 29-year-old man, also from Winchester and previously arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, have now been released with no further action.

A 28-year-old man, from Winchester, remains on police bail.

A police spokesperson confirmed that investigations are ongoing into the incident.
