Emergency services rush to fire at chip shop
A NUMBER of homes have been evacuated following a fire at a chip shop.
Fire crews from Eastleigh, Redbridge, St Mary's, Hightown, Romsey, Winchester and Portchester were called to a chip shop on Falkland Road in Chandler's Ford following reports of a fire.
Crews arrived on the scene at around 3am.
Flats in the area were evacuated and some people were treated for smoke inhalation.
The fire has now been extinguished.
