THESE photos look to be clear evidence of insufficient supply of recycling facilities at Sainsbury’s superstore in Badger Farm.
The photographer, who asked not to be named, told the Chronicle: “The huge mixed plastic bins have recently been replaced with one single smaller one.
“The new bins are all already full to bursting despite having only just been installed. It’s clearly not enough to meet the need.”
Scores of bottles and bin bags were dumped next to the orange containers.
These piles have since been removed but a visit on Monday showed that surplus items were again beginning to stack up.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “The recycling service at our Badger Farm store recently reopened and has been in high demand. The area around the bins has been cleared and we have introduced additional collections.”
