SIR: I must agree with Angela Saunders letter (Chronicle, Letters, March 11) there is a shortage of seating in Kings Walk entrance area of the city (where the old fountain was).
The Lib Dem council appears to have no desire to provide seating for those with mobility issues, OAPs, mums etc who might need to rest while shopping! They seem to be happy for visitors to continue to sit on the pavements! Yet these people still expect you to vote for them in May 2021 elections!
It was good to read that the Cathedral has done the right thing and is going to reinstate its benches, pity the Lib Dems have not got the same community spirit!
Let’s all hope something will be done on this subject before the so called local 2023- 2038 plan is implemented?
