YOU are never too young to do a good deed.

That is what Alresford youngster Eve Hall has proven after donating treats to Winchester's vaccination clinic.

For weeks the schoolgirl set up a stall outside her house, selling toys and painted wooden ornaments she had made to raise the funds.

Judy Hillier, who is part of the team at the Holiday Inn vaccination centre in Morn Hill, said: "The nurses, doctors and volunteer admin staff from the YMCA and local Rotary were so thrilled to be thought of and for all the lovely sweets and cakes she bought for us. I have the little girls name and permission from her mum to share these photos.

"The little girls name is Eve Hall and she lives in Alresford. She thought the idea up herself, made everything and set a stall up outside her house. She wanted to thank us for helping to vaccinate everyone locally. Her mum is a nurse and her parents are happy for her photo and details to be used."

The vaccination centre is run for a network of local practices and most staff are volunteers, retired clinical staff and supporting staff from local practices.

Volunteers help with guiding patients and working on the vaccination stations with the admin roles and are mainly from the local Rotary and YMCAFG (Fairthorne).

Ms Hillier added: "We don’t have clinics everyday as we only set them up as we know vaccines become available and often only have a few days to allocate the staff.

"It is a lovely working atmosphere and it is ls especially lovely that we have been given some treats. I have been vaccinating since before Christmas, as a retired nurse, and am now helping the day to day organisation of it."
