Naomi House and Jacksplace has announced the launch of its virtual gaming event, back for the third year running

Game On! is the children’s hospice virtual gaming initiative and encourages individuals and groups to join forces to game, have fun and raise money for the hospices from March 26 to 28.

Whether it be a gaming marathon or a dedicated time each evening during the weekend, participants are encouraged to adapt the event and make it their own.

Event organiser Connor Phillips said: “We are so excited to bring Game On! back for its third successful year. This year, we want to raise £5,000 from Game On! which could fund over 200 hours of care at our hospices, and with the help of the gaming community, we know we can get there. So, we’re calling on all local gamers to gather their friends, stream online, spread awareness of our charity and encourage followers to donate via Twitch, Facebook, JustGiving, or whatever platform best suits them.

“Gaming has been an important part of many people’s lives over the past year, so whether you’re someone who games on your own or with friends, why not join us and help the children, young adults and families in our care?”

Naomi House and Jacksplace’s virtual gaming event has grown year on year and has seen its participants complete gaming marathons and take on forfeits like head shaves and wearing fancy dress to support the charity. Over the years, the event has raised close to £10,000, thanks to the dedication and commitment of local gamers.

Entry to Game On! is free and when participants register, they are offered fundraising support.
