IT SEEMED that Graze Festival would never return to Twyford.

But the popular event is being revived for "2021 and beyond" under new management, according to official sources.

At the beginning of last year the Chronicle reported that the organisers would not be continuing the annual affair.

Today (March 8), the official Facebook and email accounts of the festival posted its first update in nearly two years.

It said: "It's been a while since we shared anything with you, and with a few rumours bubbling around the local festival scene, we wanted to provide a quick update on plans to re-launch Graze Festival in 2021 and beyond. Now under new-ish management, the team are exploring options for an event this summer.

"The current roadmap from lockdown to re-opening suggests an event at the end of the summer is feasible, but far from certain. There are a number of factors which contribute to this, from the availability of artists and suppliers through to production, management, volunteer support and cash flow.

"One thing we do know is that the Graze Festival community is at the very core of our existence. Quite simply, without you there would be no festival at all."

Graze Festival, which took place for four years from 2014, was held annually on Hazeley Fields, Twyford.

It took a year off in 2019 following torrential weather and a loss in sales at the previous event.

Roger Walker was one of the former organisers. The Chronicle has contacted him and the event's email to speak to the new organisers.
