A YOUNG driver has been fined for causing a crash in Winchester.

Connor Tillwach, 21, of Somerville Road, Kings Worthy, was parked on Hyde Street in a 52-reg Vauxhall Zafira when he pulled away and into the path of a cyclist, causing a collision. The extent of any injury was unavailable.

He originally denied the offence of driving without due care and attention but changed his plea on the day of the trial.

Magistrates in Aldershot fined him £100 and ordered he pay a £30 victim surcharge and £200 prosecution costs.

His driving licence was endorsed with five points.
