FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flooded field yesterday afternoon (Saturday) after two women ended up stuck in the mud.
Crews from Cosham and Waterlooville came to the women’s aid who had become stuck in a field between Closewood Road and Furzeley Golf Course in Denmead.
Watch manager Craig Sadler from Cosham Fire Station said: “We have just rescued two lovely ladies from the mud in Denmead, please take care when walking across flooded fields. We would love to get their walking sticks back to them.”
One of the ladies is understood to have been up to her knees in mud.
This mud rescue is a reminder to take extra care when you’re out enjoying your daily exercise and fresh air. With all the rain we've had recently ground can easily become unstable and conditions can change quickly so please take care. https://t.co/RY8mv5qCKD
