A DRUG driver has been banned from the road for three years.

Roger James Moore, 41, was twice caught by police officers last year, a court heard.

Moore, of Test Rise, Chilbolton, was stopped on May 13 whilst driving a 06-reg Ford Focus on the A303 near Wherwell with an illegal quantity of benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine, in his blood.

On July 16 he was in a 06-reg Peugeot on River Way, Andover, when unfit through drugs, not specified.

Moore pleaded guilty to both charges when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court and was banned for three years.

He was fined £240 with a £34 victim surcharge which will be taken from his benefits.
