A PRISONER has had extra time added to his sentence for attacking three prison officers at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester.
Christopher Winnan, 32, attacked Paul Betenson, Matthew Wright and Matthew Northard at the RHCH on May 9 last year.
Magistrates in Basingstoke heard it was deliberate, unprovoked and serious attack. The reason for him being in hospital was not stated.
Winnan, who appeared in court via a video link from Lewes Prison, was jailed for 12 weeks, to be added to his current sentence.
He was also ordered to pay £50 to each of the three prison officers.
