Debenhams in Winchester
SIR: You ask for suggestions for a replacement building for Debenhams in the High Street, Winchester (Chronicle Comment, January 28).
A building which is urgently needed in the city is a small concert hall. That central position would be an ideal place for it, and its presence, with attendant facilities, could enliven that part of the High Street, particularly in the evenings.
