RACHEL Carver a pupil in Year 6 at Prince's Mead, Kings Worthy, Winchester has been offered a place in the National Children's Orchestra of Great Britain, under 12 Orchestra.
The orchestra will meet for a summer course in Yorkshire from August 15 - 22 and then for the 30th Anniversary concert in the Birmingham Symphony Hall. The National Children's Orchestra is Classic FM's nominated Children's Orchestra.
Rachel has been playing the harp for three years and is currently on grade 6 having taken grade 5 in the summer. Her harp teacher is Victoria Davies.
She also plays the piano where she is grade 7 standard.
She also enjoys singing in the Prince's Mead School Choirs.
Penelope Kirk, headmistress of Prince's Mead, said: "To hear Rachel play the harp is a spine tingling experience, the sound is exquisite and the children in the school greatly admire her talent."
