SAYING ‘Thank You’ with chocolates seems to be the simplest way.
With the news of hospitals across the country under increased pressure since Christmas due to the increase in patients being cared for with Covid-19, some residents in Winchester donated 116 boxes of chocolates, biscuits and energy bars to the staff at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital.
Their organiser, Beauman Chong who is also a volunteer and a hospital governor, delivered them to the chief executive, Alex Whitfield on January 11.
Beauman and his friends’ message was – “we are most grateful to all the NHS staff for all that they are doing at this challenging time.
“Their dedication and hard work are much appreciated”.
