A PIGEON was in the right spot when it got trapped in a closed-up shopping centre in Winchester.
Somehow the bird got into the Waterstones branch in The Brooks shopping centre. All the shops in the centre are currently closed because of the lockdown.
It chose to rest in the large window overlooking Middle Brook Street and was spotted by passers-by who alerted the centre and the shop. Mark Rowe saw the pigeon and took this photo.
There has been a happy ending. The bird was located by centre staff and released safe and well.
A spokeswoman for Waterstones said: "The pigeon was safely rescued! Luckily no damage was incurred."
